Medical exam for navigation of the Rhine
All crew members must meet the requirements for suitability in accordance with the Regulations for Rhine navigation personnel (RPN).

Our medical examination center is accredited by the CCNR (Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine). Therefore we can issue you an internationally valued "Medical certificate on the investigation of the suitability in the Navigation of the Rhine" according to Regulations for Rhine navigation personnel (RPN).
An aptitude test takes approximately 60 minutes and includes the following elements:
- survey of medical history
- physical examination
- urinalysis
- vision testing
- audiometry (hearing test)
- any necessary additional investigations (e.g., color vision testing, blood analysis, urine drug screen)
For your appointment, please bring the following documents:
- Valid passport or identity card
- Current prescription - not older than 2 years (if you must wear corrective lenses)
- Completed and signed medical questionnaire - Occupational Health (Bring signed original - do not send by e-mail!)
Please remember that we will need a urine sample of you, therefore you should not go to the toilets right before the appointment.
